JUDGE DREDD 1995 Starring Sylvester Stallone
A Full Sized ABC Robot Head featuring working illuminated eyesA visually extremely striking model replica of the ABC robot as featured in the Sylvester Stallone Judge Dredd movie.This is a very nice replica which due to the posing of the head on its stand and the angle of the jaw, manages to capture the attitude of the screen seen prop.
It appears to be made largely of resin though the central support column which goes from the curved base to the underside of the head is made of aluminium for strength.
The paint job is extremely effective and clearly carried out by someone who has studied images of the actual prop very carefully.
Not only is the shade of rust right but also the chipping to a slightly yellow ochre colour before the bare \"metal\" is revealed.
All these effects plus the weathering and deterioration are through extremely clever paintwork.
Aside from the paint effects the most striking feature of the piece are the eyes.
These are cast in red semi transparent resin which look dark red unlit but glow as in the pictures when switched on.
The switch which activates the two powerful LED lights is contained within the base unit and is easily activated, it is sourced by a small 9 volt battery also housed within the base and is easily replaceable.
All in all a really great replica of a classic screen robot.
Heads like this were originally sold by The Propstore of London under their replicas section but have been discontinued for many years.
