DESCRIPTION:
This is a old wooden Aboriginal woomera from the regionwestren Australia known as a spear thrower. It is very distinctive with its design . and shows signs of wear on the back and front. Note the woomera has a wooden peg where the the spear fits on. there is a peace missing from the side see photo\'s An exceptional, pre contact spear thrower or Woomera, collected at the start of the 20th century in South West Australia and fashioned in the extraordinary, broad leaf form from which the type are referred.
Its a good ethnographic example for the serious collector. this is a genuine antique woomera Aboriginal Weapons and Tools
