This is an extremely rare 13.75x17.5 1864 Civil War Commission Document that has been Personally Signed & Autographed by Abraham Lincoln. It is countersigned by Secretary of War, Edwin M. Stanton. With this commission, dated April 12, 1862 and signed by President Abraham Lincoln and Secretary of War Edwin Stanton on July 13, 1862, Richard\'s served on the staff of Brigadier General James B. Ricketts. Later in the war, he obtained the rank of both Major and Lt. Colonel both by Brevet.. There is 1 vertical fold and 5 horizontal folds. \". There are two small, inconsequential holes at the fold at the very top (see pics). The hand writing in the general body of the document is light but very legible and both the Stanton and Lincoln signature strong with Lincoln\'s being especially nice, clear, and dark.This item is 100% Authentic to include a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) / hologram by PSA/DNA #AB10082.
