This is a delightfulantiqueembroideryor \"sampler\" from a young girl of 8 years of called Elin Rish/Rich.
From the lettering, I believe that it was created in 1834.
The piece has some super bright, bold, colouring and it has some charming little stitched images of flora and fauna - in particular a central motif of Adam and Eve and the Tree ofKnowledge,conjuringup ideas of \"the original sin\".Ihave included many photographs to give you a detailed impression ofthe pieces quality and condition - these act as part of thedescription so please look carefully at them. It is up to you, thepotential buyer to ask a question if you would like furtherdescriptions of specific parts. Please note all the items that wesell are vintage or antique so will have a certain amount of wear.
It measures 11 inches by 13 inches.
Its condition is good with no particular damages but as it is a historic, handmade piece it does have wear and tear. The frame is fine but has various tiny knocks and bumps and signs of age. It is ready to hang. It has been re-backed with brown paper.

So in the event of any problem - please contact us via the messaging system and we will be able to help within 24 hours.

We willoffer refunds to customers but this needs to be at their cost, i.e.the postage paid by them to return the item safely back to us and anappropriate level of packaging applied. Then we will issue a refundin full. We do not offer any negotiation on price after purchase.

Howeverif we have been negligent in any way, i.e. overlooking a safe levelof packaging or there is a significant level of damage to the itemwhich is not shown in the provided photographs, then we will acceptliability for all transportation costs.

Postage and Packaging

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that Royal Mail postal prices have gone up dramatically in the past few months!

Based on this we have become adept at searching out competative courier prices for UK deliveries over a certain size.

Please note that we rarely charge anything for packing materials or packing labour and the vast majority of times the postage price is part subsidised by us to keep your cost down.

Collection is not usually possible as most items are based at our shop or in storage prior to posting. But if you are local it may be possible.
