This is an original Addy Walker18 inch doll from the American Girl Doll Collection. I\'m never really played with this doll but did keep it out of it\'s box for some time to sit on display on a shelf. It comes with pictured accessories (hairbrush, handkerchief, hairnet, and booklets). Only blemish is some minor damage to her left shoe where some of the leather stitching has come undone (see pictures) from time spent on display. Hairnet removed but hair is in good condition and all clothing included. I do not know the exact date of purchase and know only that I am the original owner.
Answers to a few questions I have received:- There is no sign of silver eye on the doll at this time and eyes are a consistent brown.
- The strings at the back of the neck are long and have not been cut.
- The doll can stand if positioned properly.
- All clothes included are original to the doll. Her dress tag is labeled 1993 and made in China. Her bloomers are labeled as 1986 and made in West Germany.
- Neck stamp says \"PLEASANT COMPANY 148 / 16\"
- I have receive a few comments about the lace pattern on the bloomers (some think it is different than other Addy dolls). I am by no means an expert on these dolls, but I can say that no accessories or other outfits have been purchased or placed on this doll. What she is wearing was shipped from the factory with her. Since her bloomers have a label of 1986 it is possible these were an older version of bloomers that shipped early in the dolls production or simply were mixed in with other bloomers produced.
