For sale is an adorable, oval top, carved occasional gate leg table. I purchased about 5 years ago, and the table was marked Irish, 1830\'s. I am not an expert, hopefully you are :) and can date and/or place the table. I can tell that it\'s made of oak, the carving is very well executed, and the table is overall in very good condition.
Size - it\'s diminutive, just 24\" in height, 21\" wide at large side of oval, 18.5\" at small side of oval. When closed, table is just 6.5\" across, so closed size is 18\" x 6.5\".
I believe that the table has it\'s original finish; I\'ve kept the table in a quiet corner of the house, and have oiled it a couple of times (with orange oil) while in possession. There is a \'patch\' on one of the \'leaves\', where it split some time ago. The split is visible on the table top - but in my view does not take anything way. On the underside of the table two metal straps were added for support. Have a good look at the photos, and of course I am happy to share more details on request, including any additional photos.
