Up for offer is a wonderful vintage Halloween postcard. The lithographic image is the art work of Ellen Clapsaddle, famous for his postcard creations at the beginning of the last century. Clapsdadle has captured a moment as a young post-Victorian era girl holds a large jack \'o-lantern. Give yourself a Halloween treat and supersize image 1 so you can see the details. The artistry is really great and the colors are still vivid.Printed in pre-WWI Germany, and published by the International Art Publishing Co., this beautifully embossed card has been postally used and has a 1914 cancellation across the one-cent stamp on the divided back.These Clapsaddle Halloween postcards tend to be highly desirable. CONDITION: Expected light soiling and corner blunting. A bit of surface and edge wear. No creases, rips or stains. A hint of a partial postal cancellation at the upper-right portion. Clear image. Vivid colors. Nice condition for this colorful 100-year old antique.
