Up for sale is an African Ashanti, Ghana brass gold weight, pendant. It\'s done in the figure of a turtle. It measures 1 1/2\" long. These brass weights were used to weigh gold. It has some wear due to age. If you look at the last photo, you\'ll see a copy of the catalog entry, from which this item came from. The estate belonged to Bert Van Bork; a well known film maker and photographer. The above mentions his Native American collections, but all of the African items came from his estate as well.
