Published for decades by John Baer & Sons of LancasterCounty, Pennsylvania, these Agricultural Almanacs featured Phases of the Moonwith monthly weather forecasts that farmers used to assist them in sowing andharvesting their crops. Inaddition there were articles on the care of animals, local stories of interest,and even some shared recipes.

In general, the four Almanacs are in good condition, butthey all have age-related browning, some spotting/foxing and tears noted.

Specifically, the 1903 Almanac is missing its cover, withthe top page having an edge fold (dog ear) on the bottom right. In addition,there is a top right edge tear to the page with the Pigeon Ranch picture andthe following page.

The 1904 Almanac has the spotting and browning issues notedas well as the back cover having edge tears.

The 1906 Almanac also has the browning and spotting alongwith edge tears to the front and back covers. There is also a piece torn off ofthe left side of the booklet’s back cover, along with an edge fold (dog ear) tothe second page.

The 1964 Almanac is in good condition with light age-related browningnoted in general condition.
