This is a nice vintage Akai X-355D reel to reel taperecorder. This unit has been in storagefor many years. Recently cleaned andtested. It plays ok but the recordfunction does not work. When the recordbutton is pushed, the recording head moves up but could not get it toengage. Fast forward and reversefunctions work. Meter lights and meters alsowork. All other functions have not beentested. Cosmetically, it is in very nice condition with a few minor marks onthe cover. The face of the unit is verynice and clean, comes with the original manual and one take up reel as shown onthe picture. This reel is not perfectbut works ok. Sell as is for restore, noreturn.
