SIGNED 19th Century Muller \"MOULIN ROUGE.\" It\'s an incredibly beautiful piece. I paid $3,200 plus $300 for museum matting and framing in the 1990s.Magnificent 1893 etching by French Impressionist Alfredo Muller titled \"Moulin Rouge\". Signed in pencil. This large (27\" x 37\" framed) etching was made from two plates on Arches paper and is absolutely exquisite. The picture cannot do justice to this piece, it\'s breathtaking. Etching and frame are in impeccable condition.Information on this important 19th century artist:
Alfredo Muller (1869-1940) - Born in Livorno, Tuscany. He worked and exhibited regularly in Paris and Italy. He was represented in the Exposition of Florence in 1890, 1895, 1914 and 1919; the Salon de Paris of 1895 and 1914; the Exposition Universelle in 1900; various exhibitions of Original Graphics at the Georges Petit Gallery; and notably in 1900 he won the bronze medal Prize-Paris.
