Item Description:
Inspired from Tim Burton\'s 2010 fantasy adventure film adaptation of Lewis Carroll\'s classic novel, Alice in Wonderland, we present the Mad Hatter 12\" Figure. Another amazing iconic film character figure from Medicom Toy\'s RAH figure Collection.Johnny Depp portrays Tarrant Hightop, The Mad Hatter in Wonderland. Tim Burton explained that Depp \"tried to find a grounding to the character... as opposed to just being mad. He also said that, \"In a lot of versions it\'s a very one-note kind of character and you know [Depp\'s] goal was to try and bring out a human side to the strangeness of the character. The orange hair is an allusion to the mercury poisoning suffered by milliners who used mercury to cure felt, Depp believes that the character \"was poisoned... and it was coming out through his hair, through his fingernails and eyes\". Depp and Burton decided that the Mad Hatter\'s clothes, skin, hair, personality and accent would change throughout the film to reflect his emotions.
The Mad Hatter figure features Medicom Toy\'s RAH body, which is one of the most articulated 12-inch figure bodies available, capable of nearly any pose that the human or fantasy body can achieve. Of course Tarrant is lovingly hand crafted to exacting standards which Medicom Toy is famous for.
This phenomenal figure captures Johnny Depp\'s unique likeness, and comes clad in his rich costuming, featuring his detailed fuzzy red jacket, pin stripped flared trousers with embroidery, checkered vest, ruffled shirt, huge print bowtie, laced orange boots, flared top hat with wide silk sash, large decorative hat pins, multiple colored ribbons & thread spools to offset his wavy bright red hair. Truly stunning apparel for a night around Wonderland!
