As late summer turns into autumn, we look forward to colorful falling leaves,hot apple cider by the fire, cozy sweaters, carving a Jack o\' Lantern or two,and … Hallowe\'en! We are proud to present a FRIGHTfully fabulous feline Jack o\' Lantern thatwas American made sometime between the 1930s and the 1950s. This fellow is in veryfine, all-original condition!Please meet Igor (that’s pronounced EYE-gor!) By the way, we will be listinghis lifelong cat-on-a-fence lantern friend Froderich in one of our othersales. Made from what many refer to as paper or papier mache, this MAGICallymagnificent black kitty cat is actually made from pressed paper pulp. Igor retainshis original paint, his original paper insert creating his oh-so-scaryexpression, and his original wire bale handle as well. This design will forever be one of Ziz’s all-time favorites! Igor measuresabout 5 ½” high not counting his wire handle. Interesting to note is that thisdesign was made in both black and orange variants. Notice that he hasorange hand-painted whiskers. His original insert is in colors of old red,creamy white, and soft green. Igor is in outstanding condition for his age and the many All Hallows\' Eves hehas seen. He does have a few small rubs to his paint commensurate with his age.There are a couple of tiny holes to the insert, which cannot be seen from theoutside, and a touch of light fading to the green of his eyes. There is alittle wear to the top rim, but this does not detract. There are NO cracks,breaks or repairs whatsoever. This lantern has had exactly two owners with Zizbeing one of them. Igor is a classic – a must-have for those wishing to decorate their homes withcharming, nostalgic, and authentic holiday memorabilia. We think Igor, in hisexcellent condition and with his charming and endearing expression, just mightbe the perfect acquisition for any Hallowe\'en collector.
