All Original WWII M1 Helmet Unit Painted Hawley Liner Front Seam Fixed Loop:

This is the earliest M1 helmet I have ever come across and it\'s in amazing condition. It has been stored away since WWII and is all original. Its a front seam, fixed loop and has its original Hawley liner. It has an insignia painted on front that is original war-time done. I havnt been able to figure it out. It does look like a 3rd Army insignia with a letter \"A\" in a circle. Very boldly done [clearlyin the field] and the GIseemed veryproud of his unit. He was no artist but it is there. Helmet paint is in fantastic shape and the chinstrap stitching is perfect. It has no dents.For a Hawley, the liner really is in very good condition. Itsslightly mashed on front edge where it overhangs. One of the snaps is pulled away from webbing and there is one small tear [shown in pic]. Its not cracked or smashed like a lot of them are. Its pretty rare to find an all original early helmet like this. Its straight out of the woodwork and would make a proud addition to any collection. Satisfaction is fully guaranteed.
