The back is marked \"Alva Studios,\" and the pin mechanism is in fine working order. Worn quite a bit many years ago, as evidenced by the monkey\'s nose, where the gold tone is slightly worn off.

Alva was dissolved in 1999, and their pieces have become desirable among collectors.
