Tonight I\'m happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Antique, Alvin - Sterling Silver - Mid 1900\'s - Art Nouveau - Floral Motif - 8\" Silver Overlay and Glass Trivet.
Excellent Condition! - !
This graceful and elegant trivet dates from the late 1900\'s, of American make and origin, made by \'Alvin\', designed as an round shaped 8\" glass trivet featuring an intricate Art Nouveau silver overlay of silver irises and scrolled silver detail.
The trivet is in excellent condition showing little wear other than normal use with no rubbing or wear to the design or details, there is a small 1\" inner chip to the glass, on the side at the edge -see photos- this is very minor, does not detract and only visible when you turn the trivet over to the back. The trivet is monogrammed on the front with the initials, \'MC\' which can be buffed off if desired.
The trivet is not marked but is more than likely made by Alvin, the overlay has been acid tested and is guaranteed to be Sterling silver.
