This clock is a stunning exceptional rare french original cast bronze mantel clock, it has its amazing ornate look to it all in excellent original condition for age with its totally original ormolu finish to the bronze case as you can see from the pictures and is of the highest qualityCase is constructed from a high quality solid cast bronze with a stunning colour to it which looks even better in the fleshThe case has a stunning finely pierced and embossed design and superb proportions. The finish is absolutely fantastic and makes it a real display pieceThe clock is of amazing quality and is in excellent totally original condition with no damage and is exactly how you want to see itIt has a beautiful red sevres porcelain dial with roman numeral and original brass hands, the dial is in great original condition with a beautiful floral design to the centreThe clock has an 8 day french bell striking movement with an anchor escapement, the movement is clean and is in full working order keeping good time and striking the bell exactly how it should and comes with its french pendulum and a new winding keyThe back of the movement is signed by Japy Freres and Henry MarcThe clock measures 16 inches high x 11.75 inches wide x 6.5 inches deepThis is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece which i am sure you would agree.
