Rare and Unique set of 3 Japanese Antique Papier Mâché Hand Painted Boxes.

Circa 1879 or earlier.

One of them came with a paper describing it as pencil box used in 1879 at school in Canada.

Other two looks to be even earlier age.

Phenomenal quality of paint with a great details and elegance.

The larger, long box has an Air Mail 6 cents US Postage stamp stuck inside.

All 3 is in a good antique condition as seen on the photos.
