Turkish, Ottoman Islamic metalwork -dating from the 18th century.
A hand wrought and raised heavy gauge copper bowl, resting on a shallow collet form foot.
The rim is finished with chiseled interwoven trailing vines. The sides are embossed with stylised lotus petals. Turned concentric rings embellish the central area.
This good example has retained the original heavily tinned finish.Overall diameter - 10 1/8\" (257mm), height - 1 7/8\" (48mm).

Condition - Very Good. No dents or repairs. Minor surface marks and bruises, (consistent with genuine age and usage). Fine natural colour and patina.
