Dervish Islamic metalwork -dating from the 19th century.
Of hand raised wrought brass construction, and of \'kidney\' shaped form. This example is complete with the original brass chain.
The vessel is finished with a pierced geometric lattice - chased and embossed. The lattice incorporates star shaped lozenges, each one contains a figure or stylised animal. The scalloped rim is also finished with pierced decoration.
Overall length - 7 3/4\" (197mm).
Condition - Very Good. Very minor surface marks and bruises, (consistent with genuine age and usage). No cracks or repairs. Fine natural colour and patina.
