Description:A Russian silver gilt and shaded cloisonne enamel kovsh with matching spoon, Maria Semenova, Moscow, circa 1896-1908. Of traditional form, the kovsh decorated with scrolling floral and foliate motifs against a gilded stippled ground, the spoon similarly decorated.
Condition: Kovsh in excellent condition. Light wear to gilding on interior of bowl consistent with age and use. Enamel in excellent condition with no losses, chipping or pitting. Spoon has some moderate wear; gilding is worn on inside of spoon bowl as well as back side and handle between enameled portions.
Weight: Total - 56 grams; Kovsh - 50 grams; Spoon - 6 grams
