I am listing for this afternoon and evening a wonderful selection of textile antiques and quirky objects of Vertu from a country house sale, Paris Brocante, and private collections. It\'s been a busy week buying and sorting through lots of scrumptious new items I am listing lots this evening and as usual time permitting I will endeavour to list as much as possible each day next week. I am on shopping expeditions all over the country most days sourcing out wonderful treasures so, If there are evenings that I haven\'t been able to list its because a new lead or tip compelled me to hot foot it to my next destination on my quest for textile treasures! This is an exquisite antique French haberdashers Ribbon or string box beautifully designed with fabulous gold script with gold C scroll decoration around the wording A REPRISER L.V MERCERISÉ PARIS. The box is red with glass base. There is a long length of beautiful french silk pastel blue and cream brocade circa 360cm long by 1 cm wide in two lengths. The box measures 7.5 cm by 6.5 cm. Dating circa 1880.perfect for display or use.
