Syrian, (Damascus), possibly Egyptian -dating from thefirst half of the 20th century.
A hand raised and worked circular brass bowl - the rim of rolled and swaged form.
The exterior surfaces are finished with applied silver and copper decoration - the decoration applied over a chiseled and punched ground. The decoration incorporates two shaped cartouches, each of which contains an inscription - detailed by the additional images.
Overall diameter - 3 1/8\" (79mm), height - 1 3/8\" (35mm).

Condition - Very Good. No repairs. Fine natural colour and patina.
