Here is a stunningly Beautiful, Very Ornate Bronze -with SILVER and Copper Inlay -DIP PEN & INK WELL Set/Box.

This is a very large box measuring over 11 inches long! The condition is amazing!

This is one of twoPersianIslamic Ancient Dip Pen and inkwell Boxes I currently have available on .

The other has a rich Patina but I could not help but to pay for this Pen Box to be cleaned and polished. The Silverwork is just too wonderful to hide! Just look at the SILVER INLAY of this Box...it is amazing, Top to Bottom...literally...even the BOTTOM is very Richly Detailedwith Graphic etchings and Silver inlaid Ancient Kufic Script! The entire Box is covered with etched Patterns, Birds, Floral Designs and Beautiful Kufic Script. TheArtisaneven gave special attention to inside by inlaying additional Silver graphics to the inkwell and the opposite matching piece. Even the lockclaspsand the Boxes rear hinges are etched with graphic designs and inlaid with Silver.

This incredibly Beautiful ancient Bronze Pen and Ink Box is adorned with silver and copper inlay etched and set deep into the bronze. This item was certainly once owned by a very wealthy individual or evenroyaltyfor both its beauty and function. The amazingcraftsmanship of this piece would have certainly put this item out of the financial reach of the regular citizen. Adorned with Decorative designs and ancient Kufic script from top to bottom, this item is truly a piece of artwork that will stand out in any setting.

The artistic design and Kufic script of this item was prevalent from the 7th to 10th centuries. Kufic script was the first style of writing of the Islamic Period and the manifestation of delicacy and beauty in the art of calligraphy. Developed in the city of Kufa, it became known as Kufic script and was used mainly in holy documents, becoming revered as a sacred and divine aspect of human expression. Calligraphers were striven to create the most decorative and detailed designs possible into this innovative style incorporating various artistic designs to symbolize Gods creations into sacred words.
