Ancient Chinese Warring States BeadThis bead is composed of ceramic material with an applied eye design, made circa 475-220 B.C. during the Warring States period, in China. It is 1 inch in diameter. The bead comes from the estate of world-renown bead expert, Naomi Lindstrom. Ms. Lindstrom was recognized as an international authority on beads, and has lectured on the subject in London, New York, and other cities throughout the world. In San Francisco, she was a docent for 25 years at the Asian Art Museum. Her collection of beads was amassed over a period of many years, beginning in the 1950\'s, when she was a stewardess for Pan Am. She would visit archaeological dig sites throughout the world and purchase beads directly from the diggers.
