18th Dynasty, 1504- 1450 B.C., A carnelian recumbent duck, its head reverted and resting on its back. The base of this stone is remarkable because of the level of detail.The stone was bored in antiquity from both ends with a tubular drill. The base of the stone bears the image of goddess Bat with twouraei (rearing cobras) flanking her neck. The face of Bat is composed of amodeled woman\'s face with cow\'s earssurmounted by asistrum or rattle. Bat became goddess Hathor in Dynasty XI. Hathor was a goddess that personified the principles of joy, feminine love and motherhood.
