Abeautiful ancient Greekgold earring, dating to the 4th - 3rd Century B.C.
The body constructed from five seperate rods of gold twisted together and tapering into a single wire at the point, the lion's mouth open to receive the point. Theterminal in the form of an open mouthed lionwith beautifulfilligree decoration made from very fine twisted wires.
