This beautiful , museum quality 17th Century Persian Safavid blue glazed bottle / pottery / vasefor collector of Safavid or Ancient Persian art measures 5\" tall x 5\" wide and contains fanciful animal (dog and bird) and plant motifs. The bottle is in good condition for its age (approx. 350 years old) with some expected repairs to the rim. The gold paint and glazed blue color appear throughout the bottle (although some photos seem as if the motifs are partially dark blue and partially gold, this is a result of the flash andall of the motifs are outlined in gold). Some of the animals and plant motifs are more pronounced than others.You can compare it to the similar size and color Safavid bottle sold by Christie\'s London in and to another Safavid blue glazed bottle that sold in 1999 which has motifs somewhat similar to this .
