Up for sale is an André Prévot Limoges Porcelain Oval Footed Cobalt Blue and Gold Trinket Box - Vintage

Features a footed oval Cobalt blue box and lid with 22 karat Gold accents.

The lid features a Courting Couple in the center with the word Limoges in script on the lower right side. The couple are surrounded by the Limoges\' distinctive floral and scroll motif in Gold. The rim is also painted Gold. The floral and scroll motif is also painted on the underside of the lid. There is an over painting of Cobalt glaze visible on the rim (see photo).

The inside of the box features Cobalt glaze and the Gold floral and scroll motif - identical to that found in the lid. The rim is unglazed and accented with Gold paint. The Gold floral and scroll motif - identical to that found on the lid - surrounds the sides of the box. Gold trim accents the bottom edge of the box. The box sits on four (4) legs, all painted Gold. The underside of the box is Cobalt blue. The bottoms of the feet are unglazed.

The bottom of the box is scalloped. Inside the box there are indentations or pockets, one where each leg is located.

Hallmarks: Lid: Limoges (in script). Bottom of Box: Circle with LIMOGES - FRANCE - surrounds the overlayed script letters A P in the center. Limoges FRANCE.

Measures: 4 1/8\" L x 2 5/16\" W x 2 1/4\" H.

This piece is in mint condition, no chips, cracks, scratches, stains, nor visible sign of repairs.
