Carved wood mechanical bottle stoppers by Anri. Deeply carved features on both the man and the woman....just look at his ears and both of their noses! Wonderful craftsmanship, very detailed and hand painted as well.
By pressing the leaver on his back, the old man\'s mouth opens wide and his head lifts up. By pressing the leaver on the old woman\'s back, her mouth opens up and her blue eyes close! He is approximately 5\" long including the cork and she measures just shy of 5\" including the cork. The only condition issues I see is a very small ding out of the back of the brim of his hat but I believe that may happened long ago and was painted over with the hat. He also has a white spot of what looks like paint underneath his chin; otherwise, I see nothing else. They do need a cleaning as they have both been packed for more than 20 years. Very unusual and in excellent working condition. They are being sold together.
