This is a nice pair of gold spectacles. They are marked F. Sill although the F is barely legible. The Sill brothers were from Middletown Connecticut but eventually worked in New York. Frederick worked primarily in New York. Notice the loop ends, which are earlier than solid or curved ends. They test to be 14k gold.
They are 4” x 13/16”. The arms are about 5” long. With the lenses they weigh 11.9 grams or 7.7 dwt. We think the gold without the lenses should weigh about 4.5 to 5 dwt.
