This is a gorgeous antique Victorian necklace. It features an 1800s 14k yellow gold Butterfly pendant. It is 14k (hallmarked) and is encrusted with small genuine seed pearls a natural old mine cut diamond and ruby or garnet cabochon eyes .It is a larger pendant and on its back is a pendant hook on which a pearl drop is hung. This pearl drop can be removed and another pendant or locket hooked on. It is attached to a pearl strand necklace that has an old tube clasp. It is unmarked gold but tests at 18k. The pearl necklace is very nice and measures approx. 161/2 inches not including clasp. It looks to have been professional restrung and cleaned. I am unsure if it is original to the pendant. The pendant measure approx. 24 mm north/ south and 47 mm east /west. Seed pearls are all present. Please look at all the pictures as they are part of the description.
