Offered is a solid sterling silver soup or punch ladle. Made in Scotland in the year 1756-1757 by James Weems or Wemyss. Properly hallmarked. Measures over 15\" long x 3 7/8\" wide. Good quality, thick silver, the ladle weighs 242 grams. Superb condition for being over 260 years old! Light dents on the bowl. Easy fix for any silversmith. Has a ornate letter H engraved on top of handle.
