This trunk is from a NY estate and it has stayed in the same family for generations. The family kept the trunk in use until the mid-50s at which time they kept it well stored - but still within the home. It is sturdy and sound showing no damage other than what would be considered age appropriate....and considered a restorable piece. The trunk measures 32\" wide x 22\" tall at the center and 18\" deep. It has an embossed floral design in the copper-clad covering on the front, top, and sides of the trunk. I believe all of the hardware is intact; the leather side handles are missing and need to be replaced. Most of the wallpaper inside is good and the domed compartment on the right side has two advertisements for a clothing and hat shop. Needs some TLC and this trunk will provide years of use!
