This is apparently quite rare. I tried to find another one and could not that was dated and there are also initials on the other side. Inside did not see any staining. Imagine how long this has stood time likely stored for many many decades in history. Magnificent work. Dated for 1839. Amazing. A true piece of Victoriana bead work in the form of a sampler style purse. This is very exciting to see. Have never seen anything like it, truly historical object. Great beauty. It occurs to me that the beaded work possibly is earlier than the metal work. Possibly preserved with the metal work late 19th early 20th century. From further research frame would be original they came in about 1815. A dated bag is considered a very great rarity
