Offered Here is a lovely antique circa 1850s Coin silver calling card case. This lovely case has a beautiful bright cut aesthetic era floral pattern on both sides. There is a raised shell type decoration on the edges and small raised leaves in the corners. There is an original small three Initial Monogram on the one side. This is a stunning case that can be used today by a man or woman. The case measures 3 1/2 inches in height by 2 1/2 inches wide and is 3/8 inches in thickness. There are no major dings or dents or any damage. I found a couple of very tiny dimples in the corners but really nothing at all.
The hinge works great and the lid closes properly. This case weighs 46 grams. It is not marked but guaranteed to be coin silver. I have had other card cases in the past with the same edge shape and this case was most likely made by Leonard & Wilson of Philadelphia. It is a real beauty and would make a wonderful and cherished gift.
