Lincoln is seen in this button wearing no beard, which is how he looked when he ran for office the first time in 1860. This Pin is from my personal collection. I have owned this pin for many years and it is with a heavy heart that I place it up for sale. I am planning a move to a different state in a couple years, and I am needing to raise funds for the construction of a new Home. I purchased this Rare Lincoln Campaign Pinback several years ago from a antique dealer who was representing a family who owned the Pin for many years. After a lot of research I felt confident the Pin was the real deal, and I purchased it. You will see by the photos that the pin can show its age,and was not always treated with care in the past. But think about the history in this pin for the past 155 years its be around. I have wondered many times who wore this pin in the campaign of 1860 ?Could President Lincoln himself have wore thisbutton, it always been fun to think about.
