Antique 1860\'s Tintype Photographs of an armed Union Civil War Soldiers in uniform in small old framed cases. Lot of 3 Original old tintype Portrait Photo measures approx. 2 1/2\" x 3 1/4\". All as shown- photos are housed in age-period designed case with stamped brass matte. The Soldiers are not identified in any way however the Image is filled with emotion with an almost vacant look on the Soldier\'s faces. The Tintype depicts Soldiers wearing a various Union uniforms of frock coats- Single photo in case with suede leather on one side has two men sitting with riffle shot guns. Other double case has 2 photos- one is darker but still visible of Union soldier and the other is more clear of maybe a Union Ranking Officer with sword in scabbard. These amazing 1860\'s, Tintype Photos are in good to very good condition. The Tintype photos exhibit sharp focus, strong contrast and rich tonality but these particular photos are old and have some minor issues- as shown. There are minor creases and a handful of small spots of emulsion loss along those creases. Please see the scans below for a good indication of the content and condition of this Tintype Photograph of an armed Union Civil War Soldier. The Case is intact and sound with wear as with age.
