Description:Sellingthis beautiful original 19th century watercolour painting. From a portfolio of [likely British colonial army painter] original watercolour paintings of British colonial landscapes, camps, scenes and places in and around Northern Africa, the Atlantic Ocean, British India, Pakistan, etc.

This painting is entitled Tukht - i - Bahi[Pakistan]. Dated 1871. Depicts an ancient monastery in Mardan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan which became a Buddhist monastic complex.

Painting measures about 7\" x 10\". Dimensions (card mount) 11 1/2\" x 15\".
