Antique 1879 Pat New Home Treadle Sewing Machine & Base. Serial #192414 Needs Belt Turns Smooth. This sewing machines comes with the base that inserts into a sewing table. The sewing machines needs a belt but spins smoothly and everything underneath seems to run smoothly also. The needle goes up and down, so possibly might work once a belt is attached. The machine and base are showing some wear on the paint and both could use a good cleaning. There is a list of patent dates, the last one being Aug. 26 1879. This sewing machine is heavy cast iron with the base a lighter metal.
