Antique 1880s LADY\'S COMPANION Travel CYLINDER SEWING CASE Etui with Steel Tools:

A neat circa 1880 cylinder leather on wood travel sewing case with \"Lady\'s Companion\" in gilt lettering. Fitted interior,lined with turquoise velvet, silk and paper,and a complete set of original steel tools. Small colored gilt tooled designs of flowers and creatures. The leather is chipped in two places along the bottom edge.
Ornate steel mounts with some light rust, good hinge and working push button catch
The tool set includes: scissors, stiletto, bodkin, needle case, tambour hook in two parts and a brass lined thimble. All of the tools are in excellent condition with very little rust and the scissors are sharp.
Hidden underneath the thimble holder is a drawer containing a small wooden cotton reel with some damage to the side. There should probably have been two reels.
