Vintage AM Floradora German Bisque Doll

Height: 19\" tall

Marks:\"Floradora, Made in Germany, AM, Armand Marseille\"

Material: Bisque Head, arms, kid leatherBody

Condition: no chips or cracks to head or hands; body has knee repair; slight paintloss to one cheek

Oh,how beautiful! This elegant character Floradora girlie is just darling- and dressed in a vintage gown, too!

Sheis a nice medium cabinet sized girl, with a darling chubby Floradora face, quitefinely and delicately modeled, particularly the little chin and very happy smile. She has her original paperweight glass blue eyes; these are sleep eyes that have been fixed in place (though we suspect it\'s an easy fix to get them to sleep again, as the rocker is intact). She has two original paper tags: these have darked and would not photograph well; one says \"Floradora\". She has good, bright cheek blush, andlong thick auburn multistroke brows. Her well painted, slightly parted pale coral-red lips have tiny white teeth.

She\'s really in quite good condition- no chips or cracks to any bisque parts, and her original fine kid leather body with muslin legs, though a good bit grubby, has a single antique knee repair and the original rivets; upper arms have been reattached.

She wears a pretty, modern blonde wig; this could really use a restyle, as it\'s a bit wild! Some dust anddirt to crevices as to be expected.

CostumeDetails:

Dress: vintage pretty pink linen sailor collar dress; this is quite dirty and has several tears but still lovely on her; it\'s possible it\'s the original costume, c1890s-1910s or so

Undergarments: antique cotton and flannel petticoat, c1900s; may also be the original; some stains and tears as well; she also has wonderful cotton stockings that are probably the originals, c1900s or so, very torn, some staining

Shoes: modern flocked doll shoes, some wear, c1950s era

Jewelry: older seed bead necklace, c1920s era

Do not expect our vintage items to be in new or like new condition- many of our items are fragile, played with, and many are over 100 years old.

AND---- many of our items have been in storage for years,so if you are allergic to dust, or sensitive to certain scents or smells, we do not recommend purchasing vintage items.Use your own good common sense, and expect an item to have a unique patina and history all its own- with imperfections inherent in antique pieces!

Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 5 pm, Eastern Standard Time. We cannot answer emails unless they come through the message system- this protects both parties. Emails received after these hours will be answered as promptly as is possible on the next business day. Please do not expect a response during the weekend- with any luck we are out doing something fun, far far away from the computer!
