Here for your considerationis atrulyfabulous and extremely rare, antique 1899, Art Nouveau, silver, repousse embossed, lidded, string cutter of waisted spherical form, set with naturalistic floral decoration, standing on trio scroll feet and made by Deakin and Francis.

A truly stunning piece of Deakin and Francis workmanship, fully hallmarked D&F in two half circular cartouches for Stephen Henry Deakin and John Horace Francis\', with Birmingham anchor assay stamp, lion passant, and the date letter‘Z\' for 1899. Considering this delightful silver string cutter is 118 yearsold it\'s in fantastic original condition, with no dents, splits or damage.

Its certainlyone of the most interesting pieces of Victorian silver we\'ve ever seen with some beautiful silver patination,commensurate with its 118 years age.
