Antique 18th Century Sphere Conical Vessel w/ stand, maybe to use with chaffing burner? This Islamic Turkish Ottoman vessel is a LARGE (14 inches long) inscribed-chased metal mix of brass and copper cone-like conical sphere is engraved with inscribed hand-decorated chasing Middle East design. I am unsure of exactly what this item was used for but this piece is old!

Origin: Central Asia/Middle East, Circa: approx 18th Century, Collection: Islamic Art, Style Medium: Metalware, incised hand-chased Brass, Copper, Condition: Fine. According to research found online; The sphere-conical vessel style of objects appear throughout the Islamic world in the same form from east to west.

This piece has a great detailed look with etched design throughout the piece and sits upon a stand. The vessel as shown on stand measures just over 22 inches TALL and weighs more than 2 pounds and measures and about 11\" across with body approx 25\" around. The lidded top has scalloped plate with chain- this top-finial piece needs to sauntered and minor repair. There is minimal wear present with no breaks or cracks other than lid\'s\' top piece. The body of this vessel does have minor dings and dents in areas. There is some patina but no rust- red shown in photo is copper showing thru brass. This is certainly a \"must have\" item for the serious collector of Middle Eastern Items.
