Up for offer is an absolutely MAGNIFICENT and very rarepiece from the early 1900\'s decade (possibly older), this is an ANTIQUE 1900\'S \"ADRIAN\" MANTLE CLOCK by the clock making master craftsmen \"THE E. INGRAHAM CO.\" out of Bristol, Connecticut USA. Possibly one of their finest models ever, this \"Adrian\" model measures at 16\" long, 6 1/2\" wide, 10 1/2\" tall and is of the upmost quality, class and majestic aura.
Starting with the fine exterior black coat, the royal feel of the marble looking post, the luxurious look of the decorative gold trim clock face, the unbelievable cast iron legs/trim, the fantastic clock hands and thegorgeous original sound of the perfectly working half hour chime andhourly bell toll...positivelybreath taking.
The inner workings and design is easily something to marvel at as well, the early construction, the exact movements of so many beautiful sprockets, springs, bells,chimes, coils... really something to sit back and watch aseach piece does it\'s job so accurately and faithfullynowfar more than 100 years after it\'s manufacturing.
This piece is 100% complete, including it\'s originalwinding key and weight. This piece has overall light to no wearand is absolutely as beautiful as the day it was manufactured. I tested this clockthoroughly and it functions very well including all bells and chimes. Theweight seems to rock back and forth very cleanly and accurately which in turn motions both hands perfectly. The weight slows to a stop eventually, which more than likelyI\'m sure would continue to rock with the proper windingwithkey (I do not want to wind too much as I am not sure of the amount of winding these clocks need and I do not want to breakanything).It looks like everything works great and if anything a simple maintenanceis what I would suggest.
