For sale is an antique Royal Doulton Ancient Athenians pattern plate. I have researched the mark and the numbers on the back of this plate (D3302) and it dates from 1910. It is fine earthenware and handpainted. I suspect the number 24 under the D number may be the number of the painter. This is in very good condition but does have crazing in the glaze. There is one thing I want to point out, but am not sure whether it is original to the piece or not - please see the last picture so you know what I am referring to. I can feel a tiny rough spot along the rim on the center bottom, but it is black like the rest of the rim, so not sure if it is a tiny chip or just a rough spot of glazing. I just want to be totally honest about the piece. It measures 10 1/2\" in diameter. Thank you for looking!
