Antique Rex: King of Carnival Mardi Gras Krewe Favor of 1911.

This is a beautiful 105 year old inkwell that was given out only to REX Krewe

guests who attended the official Ball in 1911. These are highly sought after items.

Features the golden image of REX: King of Carnival, with flowing beard and hair,

and toppedby his crown. To the right it says: \"Rex 1911\".

Measures approximately 5 1/2\" x 7 1/4\".

The movable gold crown hides the original clear glass ink pot.

Weight is approximately 19 oz.

All components are in terrific shape and the gilded finish still shines beautifully.

There are no cracks, dents or damage, beyond some light wear to the edge.

Please review all the photos, to really appreciate the fine condition of this inkwell.

I doubt you will find a better example of this vintage inkwell anywhere.

This particular piece was found recently among the estate items of a prominent

New Orleans family member in Southern California.
