An outstanding early 20th century art glass lamp in the form of a cat. The entire lamp is handblown glass. The body is opalescent red glass with an extruded tail, applied blown glass eyes and ears. The lamp measures 9 1/4\" tall. I believe this to be a very rare lamp and have not been able to determine a manufacturer. It is most likely German or possibly Italian. The lamp retains the original early 20th century fixture, silk cord, and ceramic plug. The lamp functions properly but I would suggest rewiring if you want to use it with regularity or leave unattended. The cat\'s left ear has been repaired but it is an excellent job and is hardly noticeable. There are a few small minor nicks around the base.
