This Is A 1920\'s, Large, 44\" wide - 38\" high - 37\" deep, Quarter Sawn Oak, Map Or Blueprint Multi-Drawer Cabinet That Has Been Disassembled & Reassembled At Least 2 or 3 Times.
From what I can gather the cabinet was moved from it\'s original office location to the attic of a residence which necessitated that it be disassembled. The cabinet was then moved to another location and from there to an sale house which is where I picked it up. Each move meant that the cabinet was taken apart. We do have all the parts including the screws.The cabinet does have flaws such as additional nail or screw holes and a couple of cracks on either side of the back panel. The top is in two pieces (not cracked or split) which may have always been that way. One drawer needs to be tightened up. Someone wrote their name and the date November 1924 on the inside of the back panel. The cabinet is being offered at a reasonable and fair price since it will require some work and some restoration.The cabinet originally had 11 separate drawers but modifications along the way have changed that to 5 drawers. Three of the drawers are in their original condition. Two groups of 4 drawers each have been turned into 2 large deep drawers (see the photos). All 11original drawer fronts are still present but in different configurations. The top, the three sides and all the drawer fronts are quarter sawn oak. The drawer bodies appear to be Poplar.This disassembled cabinet needs to be picked up at our home which is 25 miles west of Corning, NY. You will need a Pick Up or something like a Suburban to handle all the parts. You will not fit this in a small SUV.
