Entire frame measurements: 8 7/8 x 10 3/4 in. Back insert rabbet size: 6.5 x 8.5 in ( exact is 6 5/8 x 8 5/8 in.) Front sight size: 5 3/4 x 7 3/4 in. Molding width size: 1 5/8 in. Age:1880-90s Condition:Good as is please read entire description/enlarge pics.
Here are a pair of original antique smaller lemon gold gilt picture frames. They are in good as is vintage conditionwith the typical scrapes/scratches,wear to the finish. Minor chips on the surround. Still sturdy. There is no glass or backing. The back accommodatesat 6.5 x 8.5 in. piece of art but the exact size of back opening is 6 5/8 X 8 5/8 in. It is often hard to get the exact gold color in photos for lemon gold frames as they reflect back so much light. They are a lighter ,muted lemon gold color. These date to the late 1800s.
